Flight cancellations prime 1,900 as Hurricane Ian nears Florida

Greater than 1,900 flights into, inside or out of the U.S. have been canceled on Wednesday as Hurricane Ian prepares to make landfall in Florida, in response to flight monitoring web site FlightAware.

By the numbers: Florida’s Orlando Worldwide Airport had canceled at the least 315 scheduled departure flights in addition to 385 arrival flights, per the tracker.
